The Dress Whites have been on hiatus since the fall, and they've taken the time to write and record new material. The band's got a couple recent discs under their belt: 2008's album My God, The Shame, and last year's The No Fun EP. They've got a show coming up at the Piston a very new venue in the former space of the Concord Cafe out at Bloor near Ossington. On Thursday, 22 April, the band promises to perform almost all new material! A sneak peak at a new Dress Whites' album?
Have a listen to some of their older tunes:
Download: "Give Up the Ghost" (My God, The Shame, 2008).
Thanks to the band, I've got a couple tickets and copies of both their EP and My God, The Shame to give away to one lucky person. Want a chance at this super-sweet prize-package? Just email me. Put "Dress Whites" in the subject line, and your full name in the body of the message,a and do so by Tuesday, 20 April at 11:59pm. If you win, you're name with a +1 will be on the guestlist at the show, and you can pick up your other winnings at the merch table.
